Mind is like a Tofu (Atomic Essay Day 06)

I remember starting Westworld last year during the pandemic and thinking to myself “I just don’t have the headspace to watch this show” Have you ever felt the same about any content?

Conversations around health and wellbeing are increasingly becoming a part of our everyday. And while we have become conscious of what we put in our stomach, we’re quite lax about what we put in our mind. We are bombarded by information every second of every day. And the stuff we read, conversations we have, movies with watch, songs we listen to - each of them have a huge impact on not just what we think but also how we feel.

I think it's more than okay to be picky about our ‘brain food’ just as we’re picky about our clothes or our Swiggy orders. It's okay to ignore the news for a day (or more) and just watch some high school soap opera (or 10!). It’s okay to ignore a dystopian, stressful marinade and pick a light, entertaining one instead. Our 'mental diet' has a greater influence over our lives than we give it credit for.

Pick your marinade well!
